  • I'm a letting agent and its just not possible to pay up-front for bookings?

    No problem, just give us a call on 0191 2584002 and we will setup an account for you through our credit control department.
  • Im a business can I setup an account with Karen's Cleaning?

    Yes of course. We will need proof that your a bonified business and will have to apply through our credit control department.
  • I'm a business customer and don't have access to a debit or credit card?

    No problem. Just give us a call on 0191 2584002 and we will book one of our cleaner/s for you and you can pay by cheque on completion of the job.
  • I don't have a credit or debit card?

    No problem. You can give us a call on 0191 2584002 and we will book one of our cleaner/s for you, and pay our cleaner on arrival.
  • Can I make a telephone booking?

    Yes of course, just give us a call on 0191 2584002 and we will be happy to book our cleaner/s for you.
  • Why do I have to pay up-front when I book online?

    We have three good reasons why you have to pay up-front using our online booking system.

    1. We offer a £10 discount on your first online booking by using the voucher code you were sent by email or from one of our other advertising methods. If we allow you to book without paying using our online booking system then the voucher code can be used multiple times, this leaves our system open to abuse.

    2. When you book and pay up-front, that commits us to you guaranteeing we will not let you down and also shows your commitment to us. Remember we offer a 24 hour cancellation and full refund policy.

    3. If you booked online and you do wish to cancel there is no need to call us, and more importantly you can do this online out of office hours. Simply login into your account goto My Bookings and click cancel.

  • Will you remind me when my cleaner is sheduled to arrive?

    Yes: Our booking system is automated to remind you by email 20 hours before your cleaner is due to arrive.

    Our booking system can also automatically remind you by text message 20 hours before your cleaner is sheduled to arrive providing you entered a reminder mobile phone number and ticked the box on the second page of our booking system.

  • Are your cleaners criminally checked?

    Yes. They must have a current CRB check or a recent Disclosure Certificate. We also check previous work references.

  • What hours do your cleaners work?

    Typically

    8.00am - 5.00pm - Monday - Friday

    8.00am - 3pm - Saturday

  • Will you hold me to a contract?

    No we will only draw a contract up if you specifically ask for one. You can book our cleaners when you want and how many times you want.
  • Do your cleaners speak english?

    Yes all of our cleaners speak perfect english.
  • Is Karen's Cleaning Insured?

    Yes we carry a one millon pound public, products & employee liability insurance.
  • Im not sure how many hours to book for my cleaning requirements?

    We know from experience that a complete top-to-toe Spring Clean of a reasonbly well-kept three bedroom house can take up to 10 hours.

    How to book: If you would like a full spring clean then book a team of 2 cleaners for 5 hours. It is the same price if you book a single cleaner for 10 hours,

  • Can I use the money I have paid as credits towards my next clean when I cancel a booking?

    Yes our system automatically credits back the money to your account after cancellation.

    Please Note: Karen's Cleaning requires 24 hours notice to cancel your booking. Our system is automated and if you call us to cancel 23 hours and 59 minutes 59 seconds before the start of your cleaning then our booking system won't allow you or us to cancel your booking.

  • Can I have a full refund back to my bank account or credit card?

    No, we only allow full refunds back to nominated Paypal account.
  • How well do you look after your employees?

    Very Well. We beleive that our employees are our bread and butter and treat them like human beings not numbers. We go that extra mile with our employees by paying them well above the national minimum wage and offer a flexible working relationship where possible. We wouldn't ask our employees to do something that we wouldn't do. We also insist that our employees call or text us after every job so we know they are safe.
  • How do I make block bookings?

    Just book your cleaner online as normal and choose which frequency (how often) you would like your cleaner and we will set this up for you. For security reasons our system won't allow you automatically make block bookings, we must do this for you. We will call you to arrange which dates and times you would like after you have made a booking.
  • Can I have a full refund?

    Yes provided you have cancelled your booking at least 24 hours before you cleaner is sheduled to arrive.

    Our system is automated and any cancelled bookings and monies paid will be automatically credited to your account for your next clean. If you wish to have a refund back you your PayPal account then just give us a call on 0191 2584002 and we will be happy to transfer your money back.

  • How do I cancel my cleaning?

    You can cancel your cleaning by either logging into your account and cancel from the My Bookings screen or you can call us on 0191 2584002 and we will cancel the booking for you. Please Note: Karen's Cleaning requires 24 hours notice to cancel your booking. Our system is automated and if you call us or try to cancel online 23 hours and 59 minutes before then our booking system won't allow you or us to cancel your booking.
  • If I have an allergy, can you still clean for me?

    Yes. We have Eco Friendly and chemical free products which can be used which are safe for allergy and asthma sufferers. Available upon request.
